  8. Dearest family,

Aunt Ank and now uncle Joop are gone. In a way it is the end of an era of emigration from The Netherlands, where we live. We were at their house in Leongatha in 2014 and that was very special. Just as special as meeting you all. We experience that as a very warm contact. Erna says she always thought of uncle Joop as a very strong man. Janny his sister in law says: he really was. Joop and Janny kept contact on a regular basis. We are all sad that he is gone. We wish you all the strength in the coming time.
