  3. Lieve tante Ria
Herinneringen, goede!
    R.I.P. ik zal u missen

  4. Een schip zeilt weg
ik sta te kijken totdat zij verdwijnt
    achter de horizon.
    Iemand aan mijn zijde zegt:
    “Ze is weg”.

    Weg….waarnaar toe?

    Liefs Letty

  5. a ship sails away
and I watch until she disappears
    behind the horizon.
    Someone by my side says,
    “She’s gone”

    Gone. to where?
Disappeared from my sight, that’s all.
She’s just as big as when I could see her.
That the ship is getting smaller and eventually no longer visible is something in me, not in her.

Just when someone by my side says:
    “She is gone”
are there others looking forward to her arrival
and other voices that sound and cry excited:
    “Here she comes”!

    Auntie Riet
Have a good journey and give my mam a hug over there

    Love from Letty

  6. Dear Mum (Ma)
I will hold onto those special memories of you which always bring a smile, a wonderful homemaker and cook remembering all the wonderful Dutch meals Ollen Bollen, Stomppot, the huge stack of apple & sultana pancakes.
The wonderful fancy dress costumes and ballet costumes you made sometimes sewing throughout the night.
Our yearly childhood trips to Myer Melbourne via the train was always a memorable one.
    But mostly I will miss you calling me Monica Rose;
So if roses grow in heaven
Lord please pick a bunch for me
Place them in my mothers arms and tell her they are from me.
Rest in peace Mum now with Dad your lieve Ton XX
    Love Monica Rose xx

  7. Dear Mum,

Thank you for your strong, caring, big laughs of moments together. Thank you for giving me the strength of character and strong spirit that you have given me. The beautiful Mum of survival instincts you gave me to carry on into my life and as you would always tell me, never let anyone stand over you, always stand your ground, thank you Mum. Looking back at all those football days as a teenager. I got home from football training and you always cleaned my football boots scraping the mud off them and then polish my boots with waterproof oil. When that was all done, you still prepared my hot meal of stamppot, love you. When I look back, at a courageous, strong woman you were. You are a legend, champion as a mother to me. Thank you for the wisdom and adventure that you passed on to me. See you again Mum with Dad and have many laughs together as we always did with strong coffee and dutch speculaas biscuits. Love you and now you are with Dad together giving each other big hugs. Miss you and touching our beautiful noses together and hugs with out of this world smiles we had together.

    Rest in peace

    Love You Andrew James XX
