  8. Dear Carol and families, we were so very saddened to hear of Hank’s passing. He was such a good friend and we will never forget the many times we spent together. “So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. For we walk by faith and not by sight. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord” (2 Corinthians 5:6-8).

  18. Although it has been some time since we had regular contact with Henk and Carol and family we have such fond and special memories of the years in South Gippsland when we shared so much of our life journey with them from 1986 into the 2000s. Henk will always have a special place in our hearts. He was a Godly man of immense integrity, big-hearted and couldn’t do enough to help or encourage but also with a great sense of humour. Henk and Carol were a team in every aspect of life and Henk with Carol have blessed so many people. Henk also wasn’t afraid to challenge others to think matters of faith through and take a biblical stand. Now in glory. Carol and family – our hearts are breaking for you all as you walk through the valley of the shadow of death. May the Lord give you His peace, strength and comfort. We thank the lord for the privilege of knowing you.

  20. Our love and Deepest Sympathy goes out to Carol, Alisha, Dylan, Ashley and their families on the loss of our dear friend Hank. Always cheeky, always the stirrer but always showing love to others. Hank never left you guessing what He meant, a straight talker who loved His Lord and wanted others to know him too. May God’s Holy Spirit comfort you all as you go through this saddest of times, but confident of Hank being in a better place.

  22. We are so shocked and saddened to hear of Hank’s passing, too young, too soon. Our heartfelt condolences go to Carol and family in this most difficult time. We first met Hank on the North Rd, when he wound down the car window and greeted us with a big broad welcoming smile, a glint in his eye, and asked us how we “the city slickers” were going. So began a wonderful and lasting friendship with Hank and Carol, that we are truly grateful for. We will miss you Hank, that big warm and helpful heart of yours, along with your mischievous and funny banter. In our hearts.

Chris and Jenny Wilson September 15, 2021
  23. My sincere condolences to Carol and family. I will miss the banter with Hank, the discussions about our Lord and the times of fellowship. Grief is a direct reflection of how much we love, although you are home with the Lord, I will grieve for you big fella, you will be missed

    Rob Nyhuis September 15, 2021
  24. Together with Carol, Alisha, Dylan and Ashley we thank our precious Lord and Saviour for a life well-lived, a friendly and joyful example of true Christan character who encouraged and inspired those who knew him to a deeper walk with Jesus. Like so many others we too were blessed by his willingness to help, in our case as annoying pretend farmer neighbours. May your earthly grief and loss be overshadowed by God’s peace like a river at this graduation. We too look forward to the Great Reunion with our loved ones who have gone before.

  26. Hank, we will miss you so much. We could say so many things but I think Miriam summed it up when I told her the sad news and she said “that’s so sad, Hank was the best”. Hank you were the best! You gave the best hugs, you teased us the best, you made us laugh the best and when needed you were the kindest “the best”. Our deepest sympathies to all of the family, especially Carole, all our love.

  32. Dear Carol and family please accept our deepest condolences at such a time that we didn’t see coming. Such a shock and there we were waiting for a good time to catch up again. We have very fond memories of you and Hank at Lawsons Rd dairy and paddocks and the many chats and fun times. Max remembers Hank so fondly and of the times he had to run him to school when he missed the bus again! Ross recalls whiling away the time chatting and laughing when they both should’ve been getting their cows in those sunny afternoons. I remember Hank as being so kind and funny and quietly going around on his motorbike and telling us we should just milk a small amount of cows haha! all our love at this time Diana Ross and Max xxx

  44. It has been our joy and privilege to have known Hank. A man who truly love God and His people. Every time we met him, he reflected the joy of the Lord. Whatever he decided to do was done only for the glory of God. He was prepared and ready for his home call. He must have heard his Master and Lord say: “Well done good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of the Lord”. It was obvious to us that he loved his family and the family of God. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. But, we will look forward to that day when we will all stand together around God’s throne and sing: :HOW GREAT THOU ART” But, until then, be assured of our love, prayer and support for you Carol and your family.
