THOMAS, Kenneth Peter ‘Strawb’

Born on November 7, 1948. Passed away September 5, 2026.

It is with great sadness, but also with a sense of peace that we the Thomas family announce the passing of our much-loved father, husband, uncle & mate, ‘Strawb’ who passed away peacefully on Saturday 5th September at Yarram surrounded by love, following a long and courageous battle with illness.

While our hearts are broken by his loss, we take comfort in knowing that his suffering has now ended and he may finally be at peace.

Rest peacefully, Strawb.
You fought long and hard. You can finally rest. You will be loved, remembered and missed always.

A Celebration of life for Strawb will be held on TUESDAY (22nd September 2026) at the Meeniyan Football Clubrooms, 15 Hanily Street, Meeniyan, commencing at 1.00pm.

Strawb's service will also be livestreamed.

The Funeral will leave at the conclusion of the Service for the Meeniyan Cemetery.

  3. Condolences to all on the loss of Strawb. In the short time I’ve known him; he’s always been kind, generous, funny and overall so lovely. He always took time out of his day to ask how the cows are going (I’m a farmer) and always loved it when I bought my kids over for a visit. They loved coming to because they’d get a timtam from his sweets stash. Rest in peace mate, thinking of you.

  4. Condolences to the family, your first cousin to my mum merelyne, many phone calls around family history. Your character shone through in those conversations. Best part was your hearty laugh, particularly when you recalled stories about your uncle Jack n big pete( robins dad) .
