  4. You could always turn up at Marians home at anytime – day or night- expected or unexpected – and you were always welcomed with joyous laughter and kindness. You were always provided with a hot cup of tea, a belly full of food, knowledgeable conversations, and a warm and cozy bed to sleep in if required.
She had an endless supply of good advice and words of wisdom, always delivered in her kind and gentle way.
Her smile and laughter was infectious and made everyone around her happy. She was a special lady and will be sadly missed. The world will be a lesser place without her in it.

  5. As four women we could not have asked for a more amazing role model than our beautiful Aunty Marion. Always supportive, encouraging and wise. We all admired her strength, resilience and wisdom, and her commitment to family was like no other. She was a powerful woman yet so gentle and compassionate. We love you Aunty Marion and wish you a safe journey to heaven. Love Always, Sommer-Lea, Sarah, Amy and Victoria.

  7. Marian, you were only in my life for 10 years and you were introduced to me by Mel my daughter in law as Grandma and that is always how I saw you, even though you were only old enough to be my mum.

We would chat at Mel’s netball when you came with Peter and we would talk about all sorts of things.

Even Family Christmas last year with both of our families together and you didn’t really know who everyone was anymore you still carried on conversations with us all as though you knew us.

You will be missed by my family and yours.

Love Karen, Christine and Brian your granddaughter Mels’ mother in law and grandparents in law.

  8. A wonderful service to celebrate the life of an amazing lady who achieved so much and touched so many lives. You must be so proud of her, Peter and Neville, as I am sure that she would be of the way you both spoke about her.

  9. Thanks for sharing a lovely service online.
My thoughts go to Neville, Peter and Family, and also to Her remaining sisters Joan and Tricia.
I loved visiting Aunty Marian, she had all thes wonderful stories of family members who I never got to know (having lived quite a distance and being the baby of the family and an only child – i just found ths stories fascinating), she’d show me photos and videos and even pulled out an old family bible one day which had the family tree dating back years!

She was generous and kind and straight down the line, always positive and encouraging. She was practical – all admirable traits, and ones I will endeavour to pass onto my own children.

Hope you are resting in peace Aunty Marian and reunited with all those you’ve loved and missed who are no longer with us.
