You were the heart and soul of Gatha Tech Mrs Roughead.I was fortunate to have you as my pastrol teacher for 3 years from when I started in1984.Thank you for always staying in touch. You were one remarkable woman . Love always Julie Kennedy.

A woman whose intelligence, warmth, and humour left a lasting impression on everyone lucky enough to know her.

She was endlessly kind—always ready with a smile, a kind word, or a witty comment to brighten our day. Her positive spirit was infectious, lifting up the staff and residents alike.
Alchera will never be the same without her quick wit and sharp spelling. She carried us through more trivia answers than we’d like to admit, and her laughter made even the wrong ones worth remembering. Alchera House feels a little quieter without her, a little less bright.

We are heartbroken to say goodbye, but so grateful for the time we shared.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.at Alchera House.

When you found out my family barracked for Hawks you were happy to get your grandson Jarryd to sign a Hawks item for them.

You always were such a gentle soul, truly kinds and courageous. I really loved being able to catch up with you when visiting mum and after mum passed, being able to spend time with you. We would laugh as I was encouraged to call you by your first name but always called you Mrs Roughead as I did when I was much younger. It just seemed fitting to do that. My condolences to your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. A much loved matriarch who will be missed, today and always. Vale Mrs Roughead.

It was a privilege to have known Ann for over 40 years, whenever I visited Ann with Michael she was always keen for a chat and to know how our family was going. She will be greatly missed by all.

Such a joy and privilege to know you dear Ann. It won’t be the same without you but you ran a great race. Your wonderful qualities can’t all be listed but your strength, wisdom, commitment to love and sense of fun are certainly in the top ten. Peace to you dear Annie – you are an ornament to the game.

Yesterday was a wonderful tribute to an amazing woman. Ann would have been so proud. Paul, you told your Mum’s story so beautifully, highlighting her strength, kindness and love of family friendship. Glad and Brian loved and admired her and their friendship lasted over 70 years.

Deepest condolences and sympathy to Mrs Roughead’s family. As a former student at Leongatha Technical School during the 1980’s, I was very fortunate to be taught and mentored by Mrs Roughead. Her support and kindness was inspirational. Mrs Roughead treated all her students with respect and kindness, but look out if your crossed her. Even after 30 years, she still remembered by name. May you rest in peace Mrs Roughead, and thank you so much.
