Passed away peacefully on Monday, 22 June 2026, in Melbourne, surrounded by his loving family.

Formerly of New Zealand.

Loved and cherished by Marlene, Jane, Daniel and Kyla and the grandchildren, Ezekiel (Zeke), Charlotte, Elijah (Lij), Jeremy, Emelia (Millie) and Amy.

A Funeral Service to celebrate the life of David Miller will be held at The Tarwin Lower Union Church, 39 River Drive, and The Tarwin Lower Mechanics Institute Memorial Hall, 27 River Drive, Tarwin Lower on THURSDAY  (9th July, 2026), commencing at 1.00pm.

 

The small Church is reserved for family only and the Hall for the larger “family” of friends old and new from near and far.

 

To ensure everyone will be part of the service a live video screen will be available to the Hall.

We welcome everyone as we come together to honour and remember David.

 

A private family burial will follow the service during which time refreshments will be served at the Hall, and where Marlene and family will join and look forward to sharing more memories.

 

In lieu of flower donations would be welcomed in David’s honour to support

  6. I have known David since 1947 when he was the only son of Dusty and Mrs Miller and they lived just down the road from us in Weld Street.

  16. Thank God I was NOT at that beautiful tribute to David, disrupting it with my sobbing and and laughter and singing.
    You have done him proud. He would have loved it: the scripture and hymns, the prayers and photos, the beautiful granddaughters frank and loving assessments, Jane’s brave tribute, Dan,
    superb, priceless biography and the Ministers warm words.
    The World is poorer without David helping us put it to rights. We are richer for having him in our lives (since September 1969 in our adjoining Flats in Wellington for Sally & me) and now in our hearts.
    Thank you Marlene for the rich and joyous difference you and David have made to our lives from those card playing days though our wallpapering in Onerahi and our precious time with you in Glen Waverley – David lifting the rafters of the little church you took us to, singing his heart out, with & for Sally – to out time at Middlemore last year. Thank you.
    And the photo you chose – of all the great photos of him – showing a mighty hand on his shoulder that I dare to believe is the hand now on his shoulder where he is, at peace
