Passed away peacefully at the Leongatha Hospital. Aged 81.
Dearly loved and treasured wife of Kevin (dec.).
Dearly loved mother of Barry, Christine, and Robert, and their partners.
Loved Nan to 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Reunited with Kevin.

A Service to Celebrate the life of Mrs Joan Elizabeth McAlpine will be held at the Leongatha RSL, Crn. Smith Street and Michael Place Leongatha on FRIDAY, July 15 2022, commencing 10.30am. At the conclusion of the Service the Funeral will leave for the Leongatha Lawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Leongatha Hospital would be appreciated. Envelopes will be available at the Service.

  4. I can’t make it to the funeral but will be there in spirit.
    Joan was a third nan to me she may not have been blood but for me she was truly another grandparent.
    Words can’t describe the loss that this is when I needed someone she was always there she was truly a special person. The world lost someone truly remarkable I will always remember the great times we had together I’m truly grateful for everything nan did for me there isn’t many special people like her love you nan RIP gone but never ever forgotten ❤️❤️❤️

  5. I had the privilege of doing Joan’s grocery shopping for the past 5 to 6 years and all throughout the pandemic. IGA staff, past and present all loved speaking to her on the phone each week. We learnt all about her likes and dislikes and those of her much loved pets.
