Tributes
  1. I hope Shirley knew and felt just how much she was loved by everyone, she was so humble I wonder if she really did.
She was such a gracious, kind and thoughtful lady, who was always more concerned about everyone else’s welfare rather than her own. I never heard a harsh or criticising word come from Shirley , she always saw the good in every person and the positive in every situation. Shirley had a way of lifting you up, and making you feel like you were one of her special people. She had the most beautiful soul and the purest heart.
I’m very lucky to have some happy memories of times I spent with this beautiful lady which I will hold dear .
Rest in peace now beautiful Shirley , I will miss you and I’m grateful to have had you as my lovely friend.
You’ll be in my thoughts Shirley.
    Your friend

  2. My deepest condolences to all of Shirley’s family.
I had the honour of meeting Shirley on quite a few occasions as she was a dear friend of my wife. Shirley had such a pleasant demeanour and could really hold a good conversation and she had a great memory , remembering all that we’d talked about on previous occasions. She was a lovely lady who will no doubt be very much missed.

  5. To the Wooryal Lodge Management and wonderful staff. Our heartfelt thanks to one and all for the care and love our mum received from you all. Over the past 10 years and particularly the last few difficult months, your care and love shown to her was greatly appreciated by Shirley and her family. Mum was a great advocate for the Lodge and the care it provides. We took great comfort in knowing she was so loved in your care.

  8. From the day I first met Shirley in IGA as a customer I knew she was someone special. She was extremely thoughtful, caring and giving. She never missed a special occasion and buying cards was a pastime for her. When I bought my house she lugged a huge chopping board set up to gift me as a surprise which was such a lovely thing to do.
Sending love to the Lovie family at this sad time.

She Was truly one of a kind with a heart to match, selfless, kind, caring and so appreciative.
When I was getting married she gave me a gift that I still have and love, and a gift when I left Woorayl Lodge nothing was too much for her to show her appreciation.

  15. Deepest Sympathy to the Lovie and Michael families on the loss of Shirley. I have fond memories of her from the moment we arrived in Leongatha 1949. A new family arrived in her neighbourhood. She was only a child, but she was so friendly and caring.

  16. Sad Times, to Noelle Kim Steve and their families go our deepest sympathy . As a young Peter approx 4 , I got to know Shirley,s father Ozzie who worked for My Father Joe on his Onion patch . Then some years later palled up with Geoff , Shirley’s brother that She raised along with Barry another Brother . The times I spent in the Lovie house whole were always so peaceful and fun loving with Shirley and her family. Watching them mature into their Mothers shadow as Noelle and Kim worked for Me in our Family business. Fond memories may God bless you all .🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️ Peter n Chris
