HANKINSON – John Allerding

My Dear Friend John, what an absolute honour to have met you and have had the pleasure of your company at our Aged Care for the last approx 6 years. We had only just started our preseason training and one game in, Essendon on top of the ladder and we had another date booked to watch another game together. I will treasure our last time together (and everytime together) watching Essendon def The Hawkes. You taught me to have lots of interests in life, to keep going no matter what, to appreciate everything we have (non materialistic) to be a better human. Thank you beautiful man, I will never forget you xxx cheers with a nip of Morris Muscat, I raise my glass to my much treasured “Red Dragon” boat xxx

John was a very good friend of the family, especially a much loved friend of Marj and Norm Savige (both dec).

We all hold fond memories of John and the photo says it all – it captures his friendly face and familiar smile. We know our brother Max enjoyed catch ups with John over the years.
