A lovely man who loved his vegetable garden but also a great knowledge of the game of bowls which he loved

Long time friend of The Cugley family. 60 years of shared memories. A close friend to Dick especially in the duck swamp with a dog and a beer.

South Gippsland Legatees pay tribute to Mal, a long-standing member of Legacy. His administrative and technological skills were extremely valuable. But, above all, he treated our widows with kindness, care and consideration. We extend our deepest sympathies to his family.

Standing by my claim Mal, it was an accident throwing your fish of the day overboard!

Vale Mal. A lovely gentleman who loved his fishing, family and tomatoes. Our thoughts are with all of Mal’s family and loved ones and especially our dear friends Glen, Robyn, Kate and Daniel Grant.

Malcolm Grant joined APM Forests (later called AP Plantations) as Mapping Officer in 1966 and retired 33 years later as Geographic Information Officer. A testament to the quality of Mal’s work was that when APP was acquired by HVP and the two Gippsland plantations amalgamated, the most accurate maps were of those prepared by Mal.
Mal was a dedicated and reliable team member of the Technical Department.
To the best of our knowledge he never got the company car bogged in our plantations (something very few staff achieved), but may have when he took his first company car on a long service trip to Cape York.
