  6. Our lives go on without you
    But nothing is the same
We have to hide our heartache
    When someone speaks your name
Sad are the tears that fall
    Living without you
Is the hardest part of all
You did so many things for us
Your heart was kind and true
    And when we needed someone
We could always count on you
The special years will not return
    When we are all together
But with the love in our hearts
    You walk with us forever
    (Helen Steiner Rice)

  17. Lots of weddings. From altar boy at Leo and Eileen’s, to ours with Helen, and then Xavier and Dominic’s with Clare. Rescuing multiple blogged tractors for the boys, nearly drowning them out fishing , pretending to be a test cricket umpire at an interschool carnival for Xavier’s class in Kew. The trying to teach me how to do the cryptic crossword while in hospital. Life was always exciting, and worth a cheeky grin. You will have wonderful memories Clare.

  21. Rest in peace, Paddy. You were always one of my favourites to play senior cricket with as a kid. A true country larrikin; i assumed every club I played at would have. In the 30 years since I’m yet to meet another person who’s carried the same energy. Truly saddened.

My condolences to the Cummins family.
