Born on November 29, 1935. Passed away November 30, 2019.

Aged 84 and 1 day

Passed away peacefully at home with wife Liz by his side and surrounded by loving family. Beloved husband of Liz, father of Mark, Della, David (dec.), Sue and their partners, together with 12 grandchildren, and 1 Great grandchild.

Rest in peace our beautiful husband, father, Pa and Great Pa.

John Boy, I am going to miss you so very much, but will always love you and talk to you, and I know that you will always watch over me. We were blessed with a wonderful marriage of 59 years with many happy memories, we were inseparable and shared everything together. Rest peacefully my darling, you will be safe in the Lord’s everlasting arms.

Our rock and stalwart of the family, such a lovely soul with a kind heart, and was our inspiration for who we are and the values that we hold dear.

A Memorial Service to Celebrate the Life of Mr. John Richard Chapman will be held at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Leongatha on MONDAY December 9, 2019 commencing at 2.0opm. A Private Burial will precede the above Service. In lieu of flowers, donations to G.S.H.S. District Nursing Service would be appreciated.  Envelopes will be available at the Service.

    You are a man of integrity, love and family values.
    My children and I are blessed to of had you in our lifes.
    Your lifes values should be placed on a plaque and distributed to others who need to be reminded.
    We only get once chance in this world, and you have thoroughly had an amazing journey.
    Especially our outback journey to Flinders Rangers. We got to experience a little excitment with floods and getting stuck in a river, amd a mini torrendo just to name a few.
    I treasure every second, every minute, every hour and day I’ve been lucky to of had with you John, especially through your unwell time. We manage to still put a smile on your face even when the end was near.
    John you and Liz are my inspiration to a wonderful marriage and life.
    I will continue to support your gorgeous wife Liz as I promised, and give her many hugs and kisses. Plus many more beautiful memories, not sure if she’d come back to flinders or not

    Love you forever and I look forward to when my journey ends, you better have a wine ready and waiting.

You loved to remind me of the one time I stood on your toe and bruised it for a long time and I don’t think I’ll ever forget that moment every time I put on my heels.
