Loved father of Paul, Sarah, James and Daniel.

A Funeral Service to Celebrate the life of Mr. Michael Montague Cannon will held in our Leongatha Chapel, Cnr South Gippsland H'Way and Bellingham Street, on FRIDAY March 4 2022, commencing at 10.00am.

Private Cremation.

  3. I remember Michael’s first editorial effort.
    It was at Cobden and it was called “The Fly Peper” because Michael wanted you to stick to it.
    We had some wonderful times riding our bikes to Kyabram to go fruit picking – camping on the way.
    His publications about Victorian history should be read by everyone to appreciate how terrible were the conditions for the working men, women and children.
    The research that went into them is mind boggling.
    Thankfully his research papers are now stored in the Melbourne Public Archives.
    My sincerest condolences to his family.
