September 11, 2026Pete’s passing is a heartbreaking reminder that we may never truly know the battles someone is fighting within.
Sometimes the people who are hurting the most are the ones who quietly say “I’m okay”
Just because a person is okay today doesn’t mean they will be okay tomorrow
People fighting suicidal thoughts deserve credit for every single day they choose to stay.Pete
Forever 48I will never stop loving you

September 12, 2026My heart and prayers are with Pete’s family and his partner, Dom.
I first met Pete twelve years ago when I was brand new to this country and to the area. He gave me my very first job milking at Mark Bland’s farm in Foster. From the start, he was kind, protective, and generous enough to welcome me into his world. And what a world it was. Pete was sharp, strong, and genuinely funny—the kind of person who could make you laugh until you felt young again. He had an incredible natural talent, playing the piano by ear and singing beautifully.
Above all, Pete was a giver. If someone was in need, he showed up with his time, his hands, and his heart. When storms flooded our creek and washed out five acres of boundary fencing with our sheep inside, Pete and a mate came out and rebuilt the entire fence. He flatly refused to take a single dollar for it. When Jenny’s father passed away suddenly and I had to stay behind to run the farm and business, Pete stepped in without hesitation to drive her all the way to the Melbourne airport so she wouldn’t have to take the bus. That was just who he was: selfless, caring, and living entirely on his own terms.
Though Pete carried his own deep, quiet struggles, the generosity, warmth, and laughter he shared with the people around him were completely real. My heart breaks for his family, his friends, and dear Dom.
Forever young, Pete. You will always be in our hearts.
Rocky and Jenny

Sincere condolences to your family
Glenda and JimIt is so sad to Here this is what it came too poor Pete He was a person whose heart was always open, radiating a quiet, steady kindness that made everyone around him feel seen and valued. His generosity wasn’t just in what he gave, but in how he gave—with a genuine warmth and an unwavering desire to lift others up, even when he was carrying his own heavy burdens. The world feels a little dimmer without his light, but the mark he left on our lives through his selflessness and gentle spirit remains a beautiful, enduring gift.i will miss you may you be at peace now in the angels arm in heaven xxo

You made me proud to be a part of OUR community in South Gippsland. The stories are legendary and will live on, I can promise that.
I wish you could have given us more stories. And settled that bet…
