Mum, what a life you lived and what wonderful memories you have left behind. You certainly knew how to enjoy yourself — from Elvis and dancing to moped rides, cruises and, of course, your birthday Grasshoppers.

There was only ever one Val, and you certainly did life your way. I’m grateful for the memories we made and especially for the relationship we shared in your later years.

My love and deepest condolences also go to Ken, who has lost his wife and companion.

You will be missed, Mum. Rest peacefully and save me a Grasshopper. 💚

Val, you were my ever supportive friend and a truly, lovely lady. I will never forget your kindness and wonderful sense of humour. I will treasure the memories we shared, your love of Chinese takeaways, garlic prawns and the grasshopper cocktails we made. Thank you for the beautiful card I received last week, it means so much to me. You will be sadly missed, but never forgotten. ❤️

Ken and family, we have known Val for many years through dances at Dumbalk. She loved a laugh and was always good fun. We were lucky enough to take you both to Yarram for
John Foats birthday recently and Val had a very enjoyable time. We will miss her coming to Sunday dances.
