Tributes
  1. Dear Willie,

    Your passing is a huge loss to us.

    Such a welcome guest at so many of our family gatherings over the years. You were a treasured part of lives and we are going to miss you more than can be expressed.

    I have great memories of visiting with you: sleepovers at your house in Bourke Street, Billycart Days at Bell Park, seeing you off on adventures in your ‘bus’. Being ‘Aunty Willie’ to my sons, always being interested to hear what they are up to, and cheering me on in my mid-life journey to university.

    You were one of the strongest people I have ever known, and I will miss catching up with you during visits with my Mum.

    My Mum’s best friend for almost 50 years. You have always been a major source of comfort and support over the time, with never a cross word spoken between you.

    We offer our love and thoughts of sympathy to Michael, Kelli and their families. (Please accept this message as being on behalf of my Mum and brother, too).

    Jo Jones (formerly Palmer);

    Andrew, Sue (dec.) and their extended family;

    Joanne (Palmer), Nathan and Luke Britt.

  3. We only knew you a brief time but loved our conversations either from over the fence or in having a cuppa with you
    You spoke of the love of your children and grandkids and your husband who you missed terribly and of course the love you had for your companion Bonney.
    We spoke lots about Motor homes and your and our travels in ours.
    May you now be at peace

  7. My dear friend from primary school Willie. Thank you for taking me on those great trips in your motor home you were so well organized. We lived our own lives but were always there for each other in times of need. It was hard over the last 3 months and there was little I could do to help. Rest peacefully now. Sympathy to all your family I know what a comfort they were.

  8. Dear Willie

    What an amazing neigbour I had. I will definately miss you and our chats that we had over the past 6 years from telling me about your trips in ” the bus” to chatting over the fence and helping me in my garden and the list could go on. You have a heart that is full of gold and nothing was ever a hassle for you. You fought such a hard battle for a long time and whenever i saw you, you were always smiling. You have inspired me so much with your positivity and braveness towards life whilst continuing to fight. May you rest peacefully. Always in my heart. Nicola ( your neighbour)
